A property portal of Steve Waugh, the former Australia captain and an eminent middle-order batsman, Waugh Global, has finalised a tie-up with an Indian realty developer, Brigade Group, to further its aims of reaching out with an array of choices to the ‘Non-resident Indian investor’. The Waugh-led venture began its operations only a week ago, and have stated what they provide clearly: “Tailored to the unique demands of the Non-resident Indian investor, the Waugh Global property platform is delivering unparalleled investment opportunity for Indian nationals living abroad.” The Brigade group, which has similar aims, expressed its happiness at the tie-up. “Brigade Group today announced the tie up with Steve Waugh’s ‘‘ to reach out to Non-resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) across the world who are looking to buy properties in India,” the Indian partner of the collaboration stated.

Brigade CMD MR Jaishankar spoke about the growing trend of searching for houses online, and said, “We are delighted to partner with ‘‘ to showcase our properties to potential buyers across the world,” as quoted by PTI. READ: Steve Waugh denies supporting Ricky Ponting’s demand to scrap coin toss

Waugh’s portal has properties in seven cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. It has tie-ups with 10 developers in these cities.

Waugh retired from all cricket more than 11 years ago, and since then has busied himself with business and philanthropy. He is associated with a well-known charity in Kolkata called Udayan, and has devoted energies to keep his endeavours running.
