Pakistan s Hasan Ali was named the player of the tournament for ICC Champions Trophy 2017. On Sunday, Pakistan toppled favourites India to bag their maiden Champions Trophy title. Hasan also emerged as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament and received the golden ball while it was Shikhar Dhawan who piled up most runs in the tournament and was awarded the golden bat. Pakistan s 181-run victory in the Sunday mega-clash was their first of any major ICC tournament since their victorious ICC World T20 2009 campaign and the first 50-over ICC title since their maiden World Cup title in 1992. Hasan took 13 wickets in the tournament at an average of 14.69, which included four 3-wicket-hauls. His 3 for 19 in the final against India was his best in the tournament.
