Basil Thampi of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) received the worst hammering in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL), against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Thampi took nought for 70 in 4 overs, going for 17.50 an over. One must remember here that Thampi won the Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award in 2017. Thampi broke the record of Ishant Sharma, who had figures of 4-0-66-0, also for SRH, against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2013 at Uppal, Hyderabad.
