MS Dhoni went past Robin Uthappa (32 stumpings) to record most stumpings in IPL history. Dhoni reached the record by getting rid of his counterpart Kane Williamson in IPL 2018 final at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Karn Sharma bowled one wide, seeing Williamson charge in, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper missed the length by some distance. Dhoni completed the formality in a flash. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had opted to bowl first, and have to chase 179 to clinch their third title.

Dhoni is known for his unique wicketkeeping style, which has richly benefited him in the past. In terms of overall dismissals, Dhoni is not far behind either. He has 116 dismissals and is just 8 away from surpassing Dinesh Karthik (124). He has also played 175 IPL matches; the most by any wicketkeeper in the tournament-history. Will Dhoni’s special take CSK to their third championship later in the evening?
