Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made it to the Playoffs after defeating table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 5 wickets in Match 54 of Vivo IPL 2018. KKR restricted SRH to 172 after getting a good start. Prasidh Krishna starred with ball, picking up 4 for 30. Then the openers, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine, provided KKR a power start. Lynn went on to register his third half-century of the season before getting out to Siddarth Kaul in the 14th over. He scored 55 in 43 with balls 4 fours and 3 sixes.

“It’s a great feeling. We’re building momentum nicely, so let’s see what happens. I am finding my touch. Sunil is blasting it at the other end, so we’ve two blokes doing that now. The main thing is to build partnerships,” Lynn told in the post-match presentations.

Narine was named Super Striker of the Ball for slamming 29 in 10 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Lynn was all in praise of his opening partner: “It’s good fun. He can take the momentum away from the other team. He keeps it nice and simple, and that seems to be working for him. Couple of wins on the board, and we’re not going to change the way we play.”
