West Indies’s clinical displays against Bangladesh in their comprehensive first Test win has seen their bowlers shoot up the ICC player Rankings with pacer Kemar Roach breaking into the top 10 and Sulieman Benn leapfrogging to a career best 24th spot.

Roach and Benn have not been the only ones making strides in the player rankings with pacer Shannon Gabriel also climbing six spots to take the 60th spot. Bangladesh too have a silver lining suffering heavy loss and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim’s gritty century has seen him skyrocket to the 30th spot to become the highest ranked Bangladesh batsman. Tamim Iqbal follows Mushfiqur, languishing at a lowly 44 in the table. Kraigg Brathwaite’s double century has seen his stock catapult to the 48th spot.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul hold the highest ranking among both teams, holding the fifth spot and is only 21 points behind the highest ranked AB de Villiers.
