Bangladesh lost two crucial wickets of Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes in the first session of Day Three, putting up 57 runs. Before that, Sri Lanka‘s second innings had come to an end with 226 runs, posting a 339-run target for Bangladesh. At the crease are Mominul Haque (31*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (2*), as Bangladesh require 282 runs more.

Roshen Silva’s unbeaten 70 helped Sri Lanka post a huge target while the rest of his teammates faltered. Silva continued batting on Day Three but lost all his batting partners soon, and it brought an end to Sri Lanka’s innings. Taijul Islam cleared up the tail soon, letting the batsmen contribute only 26 runs in the morning. Taijul finished with 8 wickets in the match. Mustafizur Rahman got 3 wickets, while Mehedi Hasan got a couple.

Dilruwan Perera drew first blood in the second over of the innings, dismissing Tamim Iqbal for 2. Perera jabbed one in to Tamim, who got it onto his pad. Tamim reviewed umpire’s decision, but the review confirmed there being no edge.

As Bangladesh inched towards 50, they lost another wicket. Rangana Herath produced an edge off Kayes, which Niroshan Dickwella secured.

Mominul held one end of the innings, as Bangladesh tottered past fifty runs.
