Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun following his father’s footsteps

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar had this uncanny knack of making it big and scoring runs whenever he came out to bat. His son Arjun Tendulkar has adopted his father’s qualities and turned out to be another batting genius at the junior level. Arjun plundered 106 of just 156 balls in a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Under-16 Payyade Trophy clash at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana.

Arjun achieved this feat while featuring for Sunil Gavaskar’s XI against Rohit Sharma XI. Argun slammed 16 boundaries and two sixes to guide his team to a respectable 218. The tournament is a selection trials for U-16 cricketers in Mumbai.

Sunil Gavaskar XI coach Vikas Satam stated that the young lad batted with immense confidence and mettle, he never let the pressure get better of him.

Arjun has been a consistent run-scorer at the junior level and has his father’s quality to make every opportunity count. His technique is calm and composed along with some rock-solid temperament.
