India and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) cricketer Yuvraj Singh is a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar and this is no secret. The two share great camaraderie off the field and Yuvraj considers Tendulkar as his friend, mentor, idol and guide.

It was Tendulkar who had famously told Yuvraj that ‘he will matter when it matters the most’ and the latter vindicated the statement in India’s memorable World Cup win in 2011 where Yuvraj was adjudged as the player of the series.

Yuvraj has expressed his fondness and respect for Tendulkar openly in the past by touching his idol’s feet. He did it again on Sunday when his team SRH beat Mumbai Indians (MI) mentored by Tendulkar in the Indian Premier League (IPL). New Zealand captain and his SRH team-mate Kane Williamson can also be seen in this particular picture. Yuvraj starred in the match with the bat which his side won by 85 runs and later after the match he touched Tendulkar’s feet. Yuvi has shown this gesture in the past too. During an exhibition match at Lord’s in 2014, the all-rounder had touched Tendulkar’s feet after completing his hundred. He has done it before during the IPL as well while representing Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Delhi Daredevils (DD).
