Frederick, or Freddie Coleman epitomises the old adage 'growing up on cricket,' representing Scotland from Under-11 level onwards. At the highest level, he has had 13 opportunities to wear the Scotland jersey, collecting 134 runs in those matches.
Coleman was introduced to the game by his father at a very early age, from where he progressed all the way to the international scene. The 23-year-old batsman made his ODI debut for Scotland against Kenya during the ICC World Cricket League Championship in 2013. Coleman attended Oxford University, where he played in the Marylebone Cricket Club University (MCCU) setup of Oxford.
Coleman impressed during the practice games that Scotland played in Australia and New Zealand in order to get used to the conditions better prior to the ICC World Cup 2015. Coleman struck two half-centuries during those games to give a glimpse of his irrefutable talent.
