Muralidharan Gautam Biography

Gautam started as a batsman for Karnataka, but wasn’t a regular until 2012. He found himself donning the gloves for his state side in August 2012 when Karnataka’s seasoned wicketkeeper Thilak Naidu announced his retirement. Until then he been a regular feature, and topped the charts with 1,007 runs in 2012-13. The runs dried up in the following season but he slammed a ton against Uttar Pradesh and then made another one in the Irani Trophy.

He was picked by Mumbai Indians in the 2014 auction and had an extended run in the playing XI. Before 2014 he was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore, but he made his debut in 2013 with Delhi Daredevils. Gautam has also been a safe bet behind the wickets.
