Najibullah Zadran Biography

Young Najibullah Zadran has flourished as a batsman in the domestic circuit, and was a vital cog for Afghanistan in Under-19 World Cup Qualifiers 2019, scoring runs at an average of 34.

His talent was soon recognized and was selected to represent Afghan Cheetahs, which competes in the domestic T20 tournament in Pakistan. Impressive performances with the Cheetahs earned him a berth with the Afghanistan main side.

He has been unable to make most of that opportunity, but bears great promise. Despite of his poor showings at international level, he mysteriously found a place on the squad for World Cup 2015.

He had a quiet World Cup till the New Zealand match, where he came down at 59 for 6, and clobbered the bowling around with a 56-ball 56 out of an 86-run stand.
