Zimbabwe tour of Pakistan, 2015

Zimbabwe are all set to become the first Full Member nation to tour Pakistan since March 2009, when terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan team, which resulted in the suspension of international cricket in Pakistan due to security concerns. None of the top eight teams wished to tour them but Zimbabwe albeit after a lot of talks, have agreed to tour Pakistan.

The tour will consist of two Twenty 20 Internationals followed by three-match One-Day International series (ODIs). All of these matches will be played at Lahore. The visitors will land on May 19, and play the shortest format of the game, on May 22 and May 24. Zimbabwe lost the last time they played Pakistan in a Twenty 20 Internationals, losing -02 and will wish to avenge that. Shahid Afridi, the Twenty 20 International captain, will hope his team comes back well after the loss to Bangladesh in the one-off Twenty in Bangladesh and keeps their record clean.

The One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will be played on, May 26, 29 and 31. Pakistan lost their recent series against Bangladesh 0-3 and will be wishing to get back to winning ways. Their skipper, Azhar Ali was in supreme touch and he will hope his team steps up as they will take on the Zimbabweans in conditions which will suit them a lot more.

Zimbabwe were impressive in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, and will want to consistent in their performances. They lost the ODI series against Pakistan in Zimbabwe 1-2 and will hope to do better than that.
