When the BCCI Finance Committee meets on Thursday, it is women s cricket and domestic cricketers who are set to gain all the benefit. Domestic players are expected to receive 100 per cent hike while women cricketers are likely to receive similar raise. As per the reports on Indian Express, a domestic player who received INR 10,000 per Ranji match might get INR 20,000 on a daily basis from the upcoming season. There was also a proposal from BCCI s Ratnakar Shetty to increase the daily match fees from INR 10,000 to INR 40,000 for Ranji Trophy. This thought occurred with a hope to compensate cricketers who have been working hard in domestic cricket.

Apart from the players, match referees, match officials and video analysts are also expected to receive some boost. BCCI sources added, Whatever percentage hike domestic cricketers will get, same percentage hike will be given to match officials. For example, if players get 50 per cent hike per match day, then match officials too will get 50 per cent hike. However, it is unlikely that Shetty s proposal might get implemented. It is also learnt that BCCI has reserved 26 per cent of its gross revenue earned through TV rights for its players.

Women s cricket that has earned all the accolades through ICC Women s World Cup 2017, is also expected to see a change in their pay structure. Earlier, women cricketers received only INR 3,300 per match whereas BCCI pay its Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) officer INR 5,000 per day during the Ranji matches.
